SSM’s Corporate Registry System goes live 30 June.

Companies Commission of Malaysia (SSM) is set to go live with its new Corporate Registry System (CRS) on 30 June 2026, replacing a suite of existing platforms including MyCoID, e-Secretary and various statutory company document lodgement services that were previously conducted over the counter.

The cutover marks the most significant overhaul of Malaysia’s corporate registry in recent years, reflecting SSM’s broader effort to modernise Malaysia’s corporate compliance infrastructure.

The CRS replaces SSM’s legacy digital infrastructure in its entirety. Phase 1 of the rollout covers the lodgement of statutory company documents, with broader functionality expected to follow in subsequent phases. During the transition window, SSM’s online services will be temporarily unavailable, and no new submissions can be accepted until the CRS goes live. Once fully operational, the new system is expected to consolidate functions currently spread across multiple platforms, simplifying the lodgement process going forward.

To manage the transition, SSM set separate submission deadlines by location and platform in the lead-up to 30 June. The submission windows for over-the-counter filings and SSM systems, including MyCoID and eSecretary, have now closed:

  • 18 June 2026 (4.00 pm): SSM state office counters in Kedah, Terengganu and Kelantan
  • 19 June 2026: SSM headquarters, state offices in Selangor, Penang, Melaka, Negeri Sembilan, Perlis, Sabah and Sarawak
  • 23 June 2026 (10.00 pm): MBRS, E-BOS, MyLLP, e-Secretary and EzBiz

Companies that were unable to submit before the relevant cutoff will need to wait until the CRS goes live on 30 June before those documents can be lodged.

The types of transactions affected during the transition period include:

  • New company incorporations
  • Annual returns
  • Director and shareholder changes
  • Other statutory lodgements normally submitted through SSM’s online platforms and over-the-counter

Secretarial service providers will continue preparing documentation during the downtime, with any outstanding submissions queued for lodgement once the CRS is live.

If your company has filings that fell within the cutover window, the immediate step is to confirm the position with your company secretary. Outstanding submissions will be queued and lodged once the CRS goes live on 30 June. Some processing delays are possible in the immediate post-migration period as SSM beds in the new system, so following up early is advisable for any time-sensitive filings.
